- 1. Age ≥ 18 years 2. Planned open/laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy or open/laparoscopic colon-/rectum resection for any indication 3. Patient able to provide required baseline samples at a maximum of 14 days prior to the surgical procedure 4. Written informed consent provided prior to inclusion
- 1. Patient with any social or logistical condition which in the opinion of the investigator may interfere with the conduct of the study
- such as incapacity to well understand
- not willing to collaborate
- or cannot easily be contacted after discharge 2. Previous participation in this study 3. Pregnant women
