Inclusion criteria
  • • Ataxia group: Clinically and/or anamnestic confirmed ataxia. • HSP group: Clinically and/or anamnestic confirmed hereditary spastic paraplegia • suspected HSP group: Clinically strong evidence (according to inclusion/exclusion criteria) for HSP with lack of genetic confirmation at time of inclusion • Healthy first degree relatives of patients with SCA (defined as SARA score <3) or autosomal-dominantly inherited HSP (e.g. parents
  • siblings
  • children of index patients). • Healthy controls: over 18 years old persons with negative medical and family history of degenerative ataxia and hereditary spastic paraplegia. • Written
